The Molino del Puente is situated in Valle de Lecrín (valley of Lecrín), a place of an exceptional beauty between Sierra Nevada and the Tropical Coast. Despite being a not very well-know zone, the Valle de Lecrín offers numerous attractions for the tourist.

Valle de Lecrín is a place of undeniable anthropological and archeological relevance: thus, the human settelments of the Barranco de los lobos ('Gully of the wolves'), which dates from the Paleolithic and Neolithic age, or previous remains like the fosil ammonites from Cozvíjar, or the skeleton of a Mammoth found in the peat bog of Padul.

It is also neccesary to highlight the historic and architectural importance of the Valle de Lecrín , whose villages are representative of various cultures, being the Islamic that which has leave the most important influence in the zone. The numerous churches built there are an essential touristic attraction too.

The natural richness and the variety of landscapes are a great incentive for visiting the valley. There, you can develop a great range of activities related to Rural tourism: trekking, fishing, mountain climbing, and many others. The valley is crossed by many different routes which offers impressive views: thus, “la ruta de la acequia”, (the ‘channel' route), “la ruta de los arcos” (the arches route), “la ruta de los baños” (the ‘baths' route).
